My Nanny (Grandmother) was born 110 year ago today - sadly (of course) she isn't with us any more but I remember the date and raise a drink and cake to her memory. Today I had the luxury of meeting a friend for lunch (our pre-Christmas cuppa which was postponed!) and we met at a garden centre where I looked for signs of spring. Nanny was a stylish lady, always looking smart and she loved her flowers, so this suits me as my shot for today.
So grateful for all your comments on my shots - skies, frosty leaves, ponds... you're all the reason that I look for loveliness every day, and what keeps me out of the kitchen sink and paperwork all evening! Thank you - have a thabulous thursday :)
We call them Primroses, saw flats of them at Costco today, but didn't buy.
I used to collect them, now have a sunny yard where they don't thrive.
Nice to know official name of these. Lovely shot
@trinda Hi Trinda! Yes, I left it on one of your shots earlier this week... I'll go and look for it and re-do it :) Thanks for yours to me, by the way, I'll do my best !!
Beautiful shot, Phil!! I love the color of the flower!! You captured the detail perfectly. Well done! :)
I apologize for my absence. My back has been really bad and I am just getting back on now. I have a bunch of pics to upload but I wanted to get to friends' photos first. My back is better today so I shouldn't have long absences like this for a bit (hopefully!!).
Beautiful burst of colour. The caterpillars are eating mine! So I can be found in the garden with a torch every evening looking for them, needless to say the neighbours think I've gone mad.
