This was a shrunken ice-cube in a red ice-cube-tray... B&W'd the container and added a mirror frame which I cropped down as I quite liked the feeling it gave.
SC for flash-of-red month, F for f-word and heart/love/valentine(/colour) for feb14words challenge.
So much to catch up on, sleep and housework also on the list but it's half term (hooray!) so fingers crossed I can manage it all... thank you for calling by mwah x
Hi Phil! My new Soul Sister! Appreciate the detailed account of your trials with the lenses! You are my hero and role model for making another attempt st contscts!
I had to laugh because I've done this before -about 5 years ago - and did the crawling around on the carpet looking for the dropped lens etc...both times that I tried contacts ended in frustration and failure so I'm determined to make it work this time.
But last night I got so upset as I struggled to get the damn thing out of my eye- I was picturing having to stay up all night for fear of falling sleep and having it adhere to my only good eye. My issue is I only have correctable vision in my right eye- born with a lazy left one. So I'm not a candidate for Lazer and when I'm taking the lens in and out of my good eye, I can't see with the other so I have to use a # 10 magnifying mirror and even that doesn't help much. Amazing that I ever get decent photos with all these challenges!
Anyway, enough complaining! Truth is I was so pumped up yesterday - I was texting on my phone using the contact and could see the screen! It was so freeing. So far, like you, my close vision isn't as sharp as with glasses but my far vision is great!
I'm dying to go to the grocery store and be able to read the labels without having to fumble on and off with glasses. Hope you have a wonderful day with a clear view of the world !
I'm cheating right now- wearing glasses because I was in a rush this morning. I 'll put the lens in later & hope I can get it out in less than an hour tonight!
