No good crying over a tiny broken lamp... by filsie65

No good crying over a tiny broken lamp...

..especially when you save the bits and use them for the word-of-the-day 'broken'
It was a very pretty lamp, and I was assured by the gentleman who convinced me to buy it that it would work (the little dial brings up a new wick) with lamp oil in it. I didn't need convincing as I love coloured glass, which is why I kept the bits after the lovely curved top just unbalanced one day...
Thanks for calling by - you are all super and the reason we are still here..! :)
It was wise of you to save the pieces. Now you just need to find a new lamp cover for it. It is a beautiful lamp.

Oh no Phil, what a shame, beautiful blue lamp. You will be upset about that!

A beautiful blue lamp. Perhaps you will be able to find a replacement shade.

Your unfortunate accident produced an impressive capture.

Oh no, you can probably at least find a clear replacement, would still look good. The glass usually gets brittle close to the wick.

Great shot - too bad about the lamp. Maybe you can find a new glass top in an antique shop or a flea market?

Oh no! My mum had one of those lamps too. It does look beautiful, even broken.
