Bye Bye morris men

It occurred to me, as they danced up the road, that I was unlikely to be living here this time next year... I took a last shot and think one of them even half-turned back as I silently wished them well.
I remember, the first year we saw it all (2000), I was telling toddler George about it and told him how they dressed and what they did. He earnestly asked me why... that answer took a little longer but now it's obvious. Because it's traditional and because they love it! And of course, because they're all a bit extrovert!
You still reading this drivel?! Well thank you very much! mwah

Such a wonderful tradition.

Certainly an interesting group! So I take it they can only be found here and not in other locations. It's always a bit nostalgic when you realize it's the "last time" for something.

I love these old traditions. I think when the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team perform the haka the English rugby team should respond with morris dancing.
