We drove slowly around Coniston Water, queueing around car parks with all the other pesky tourists and becoming disheartened at ever finding somewhere to leave the car and explore! Hot and bothered (the air con was on the blink), we drove around the other side of the water and did an emergency stop by a wonderful cafe / farmhouse selling teas... with a path down to the lakeside. We revived ourselves in the shade then wandered through those gates down to the tranquility of the lake, from where we could see masses of people on the other side (where we had tried to park). Soaking up the views we enjoyed the passing boats and gently skimmed stones being careful to avoid the ducklings... aah.
I am having a marvellous time going back through the shots of last weekend, isn't photography wonderful!! Thank you for sharing in my little project with me :)
