I drove down to my sister's house in Epsom, had some tea and left in good time to collect Cathy from Gatwick as she arrived back from 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. As I left the sun was going down and I pulled over at the top of the downs to get a shot. You can usually see for miles across the City and pick out many landmarks, but the light blotted them out under the horizon. There were several cars of couples waiting for the sun to go down (!!) so I departed gracefully and quickly. Found this on my phone camera.
