Smaug the Giant Zonure by filsie65

Smaug the Giant Zonure

This is a rather handsome and obliging Giant Zonure, known as sungazers for the way they look up at the light.
Apparently the Genus Smaug, comes from the Old German verb smeugen (to squeeze through a hole) in honour of J.R.R. Tolkien, as many believe his inspiration for the dragon ‘Smaug’ in the novel ‘The Hobbit’ was a Sungazer.
I Loved his little scaliness..
Thanks for calling by while I catch up 'again'.... mwah
Great close up capture.
