The local WI that I'm joining took part in the nearby church's Christmas Tree Festival and I went along to support it. What a lovely array of trees - from local companies to schools, organisations etc. Many had taken time and consideration with the decorations - eg the Beavers' tree was covered with hand-made wooden decorations, the Cats' Protection League tree was adorned with sewn felt cat-shapes with sequined hats or collars! Of course the WI tree was tastefully decorated with knitted decorations! (I supplied a knitted stocking!)
Pretty church and lovely festival - with gospel jazz music and a charming atmosphere.
