Oi What are you doing? 24.1.12

Laddie was rolling on the floor, nuzzling the carpet and desperately trying to attract my attention. He is so camera-shy I thought I'd make the most of the moment and put the camera on the floor. As I pressed the button he knew something was up but I love the look on his face! Not a great shot at all but I love the little pink pawpads and the kittenish look in his eyes!
LOL! He does look like he is asking that question. Cute capture!

the expression is amazing and the composition is great in my opinion.I wish it was less grainy but... who cares:)

Poor pets... They are always the subject at some point or another. Nice kitty... It looks like you woke him. LOL

@woot Yes the graininess drove me potty - it was quite dark down there and as he has so much black it was hard to pick eg his ears out! I increased the contrast and the shadows a little but couldn't think what else to do. Once it was cropped it was even more obvious... any ideas?

@allred Oh that made me laugh out loud - George came down to see what was up!! Alas the yoga hasn't relaxed him any...! :)

@filsie65 I know you can reduce the grainess with some selective blur: it is meant to leave the edges as they are, but but fill the "omogeneous" areas with the average colour. I'm not an expert with it and I usually don't put much brain in filling the input values, but you can get great results. I've used twice with success: the first time was here http://365project.org/woot/365/2011-12-01 and worked GREAT removing the dust bits on the lamp, the other time was here http://365project.org/woot/365/2012-01-16 where I selectively applied it only to the thighs which were a bit grainy

@woot Gosh those two shots were edited brilliantly, I couldn't see any sign of blurring or graininess at all, even when told where to look! Couldn't find a selective blur but found a new toy called burning and had a go... got rid of a fair bit of the graininess, he looks more himself now! Hope you like it, thanks for the help :)

@filsie65 oh great, I love it (I actually liked it also when grainy): great job! I did not mention the most important thing: I use GIMP for editing my pictures and the filter is under the menu "filters->blur->selective gaussian blur"

@woot Me too! Must check out that Gimp... heard it mentioned before but I'm still very much a novice to any sort of processing. With picnik going I ought to look further afield. Have a good weekend and thank you again! :)
