A little junction/car park at the top of the A83 in the Trossachs, with a wonderful view down the valley. The road is the little line to the left of the shot, the curvy grey line slightly lower the original road. (Thanks IQ!)
Wikipedia says:- "The section is so named as the climb out of Glen Croe is so long and steep at the end that it was traditional for travellers to rest at the top, and be thankful for having reached the highest point."
I was very happy to rest awhile and be thankful for the opportunity for such an adventure with the kids and some potential mummy-cred..!
Thank you for stopping by :)
FAV.
I love the idea to rest and be thankful. On our trip to the Rockies I found myself offering up that prayer constantly that I was blessed to experience all that was around me. To be "in the moment."
Enjoy - and allow me to enjoy with you.
Putting me to shame visiting places I rarely venture to despite them being on my doorstep. The grey curvy bit is the original road which has been made passable to use as a diversion if the main road is blocked by a landslide again :)
Gorgeous shot, Phil! Fav! I love the view! I can see a car on the road you were talking about. It's so far away it looks like a white dot. Great job on capturing such beauty :)

They're all in the same month in her album. I'd love to go myself. We had our honeymoon in Oban and the scenery was fabulous xx
