Waxing Gibous Moon by filsie65

Waxing Gibous Moon

These clearer skies are a real bonus to all - and especially at night. It was enough for me to make a space, get my beloved telescope out of the storage box and get out to shoot the moon. We enjoyed introducing Sarah to the view so of course I will share it with you too. I love that we all see the same moon :)
Keep safe
Nice clear shot!

Nice detailed shot! You know Ive noticed that since the lockdown, the sky does seem to be clearer. What does that tell us about how to clean up the environment?

I am jealous. I don't have the skill to capture the moon like this! This is stellar. See what I did there?

@jeanniec57 You certainly do have the skill to do this. You may not have a telescope to precariously balance your click camera on and take a macro shot but you certainly have enough skill! The best tip with night-time photography is to keep it still... if you can get a camera on a tripod or even balance on a table/chair/pressed against a wall, zoom right in, focus and then even consider a 2-second delay on your shot so it isn't even jiggled by the vibration of clicking. If it's a full moon and you can adjust to let less light in that can help too. Good moon tonight - good luck!
And I loved the pun! Far out!
