I woke up and saw the thick 'duvet' of snow and decided to stay in! Something got the better of me, though, call it my inner child if you like, and I'm so glad I ventured out... it was lovely to crunch through the snow rather than slither over the mud and everything was so quiet.... as if the world had stopped for just a day. Then in the distance, as I walked on, I could hear kids squealing and guessed they were sledging. Felt the urge to capture the feeling of a happy day, something we all need now and again :)
