I've been wanting to join a 365 project for some time and finally decided to go for it.

People have asked me "If you had to get rid of everything you owned. What would you keep?" My reply has been "I would keep my camera because it completes me, I couldn't live without it. I use it practically every single waking minute. It is almost always in my hands looking for the next thing to photograph."

As you can probably tell, I'm really passionate about photography. I feel as if I'm in my own little world. I just Love to capture moments in time.

When I see what I've accomplished in photography over the years I am amazed at how much I've improved. My sense of composition, depth of field among other things have gotten better and my passion and love for photography have deepend. I can now go outside and while I'm chasing the bugs, birds and animals I plan in my head how I want the photo to look. I used to not really think about the angle or composistion when I first got into photography, but I learned to get a captivating image you can't just point the camera and take a picture of something. I take my time on a subject in order to get a striking image. It really shows in the result you get when you learn the ways around taking excellent photos. Some people wonder how I have such patience to sit in awkward positions for long periods of time either waiting for the opportune moment or trying to get the perfect angle. I simply just enjoy it. I think anyone who enjoys something, patience or any other obstacle doesn't matter anymore. When you are passionate for something you push through the obstacles as if they are nothing. You don't even see them as obstacles like others do. When I see the results I am able to get with the hard work I put into taking a picture any obstacle I had taking it is almost forgotten. You just see all those difficult obstacles as worth it and that's how you can preserver in anything you love.

Now to mention a bit about me, I am a goofy, funny, awkard, silly, outrageous, hyper(sometimes), happy average 21 year old. I live in Texas and love it. I have lived with grandma for almost all my life. She has been the only family I've really ever known (besides my aunt, uncle and two cousins) and I'm am so grateful to have her. My mom has a severe mental illness called schizoaffective, It is a mixture of bipolar and schizophrenia. She is in and out of my life, sometimes years go by where I don't hear from her. My dad isn't really part of my life either. I Love both my parents very much and just wish I could have them be a bigger part in my life. That, along with day to day struggles, and life in general, sometimes makes me feel like just giving up. Despite all that, I really try my best to keep a positive attitude, but sometimes I just fall apart. That is where photography has helped me immensely, it has become not just a passion, but also very therapeutic for me. It's my way of coping, relaxing, and releasing all the stress from each day. When I've had a tough day, I just start snapping away with my camera and I'm suddenly happy. I think anyone who is struggling to go day by day needs to find something they are passionate about because to me I think that's how God gives us strength to carry on in this world which sometimes can really drag you to your lowest points. When you have a passion to place your efforts in you tend to not sit there moping around. It gets you doing something which is important in order to make it in life. The world has many wonderful things about it mostly because God is good so when things get tough focus on the things that truly make you happy and look to God for guidance and you will find joy in the midst of troubles.

I am an amateur photographer that fell in love with taking pictures ever since I got my first camera. When I wore that camera down I decided I wanted to upgrade my camera to a DSLR camera. After some research I finally decided to get the Nikon D5100 (I recently upgraded to a D5300 after I had issues with this one) and I couldn't be happier. I enjoy taking pictures of anything that I find interesting which practically means if a object, building, person, animal, plant, place etc catches my eye I have to get a picture or I feel like I missed a once in a lifetime picture. If you're close to me you'll see me carrying a camera almost everywhere I go. It's all about being in the right place at the right moment in time. I like to experiment with different types of photography and I especially love/enjoy to take pictures of my pets, wildlife(animals and Insects) nature(Flowers and Plants), travel, macro, landscape around me. Photography was just a hobby for me at first, I never thought it would become my passion, my life, and the way of expressing myself. Ever since I got addicted to photography, Ive gotten a better eye for things that I would normally have never thought about again. Now my eyes seem to see any little bit of movement. It doesn't matter how camaflauged the critter is. If it moves I tend to see it and from experience its wonderful to have such good eyes for those little critters. My grandma is always amazed when I happen to see something like a green preying mantis on green leaves. Photography has made me a better and more creative person. I think in the moments I'm waiting for a picture. I'm the most calm simply because spending time in Gods wonderful creation leaves me in awe everytime. I have gained a better appreciatian for the little things around me. Its also fun learning about the different bugs, plants, animals and birds I capture. I always enjoy searching for facts about different things I find.
I really try to go outdoors everyday to find something to photograph. Sometimes I'm really lucky and find a lot of things to photograph and other times I'm not so lucky
