Oranges and lemons ...

... say the bells of St. Clements. Do any of you remember playing that game at school?

Wet morning so made a St. Clements cake for my visitors on Wednesday. The rest of the day has been spent cleaning out cupboards - nothing to photograph there!

I walked past St Clement Danes recently, and recalled the rhyme from my youth. Wikipedia have quite a nice entry on it - the rhyme apparently (in this form) depicts all the bells of old City of London churches. I believe there are different versions and even some referring to other Cities.
