We went to the church to see about obtaining my grandmother's birth certicate. Although the lady there was very helpful she said, we should just enjoy Copenhagen instead of trying to find the birth certificate She also told us we would need to go to the Landsarnet where all the church's books are archived. She gave us the address and a map and we set off. This is the place in the picture. Once in side, the gentleman that was helping us said, you should just enjoy seeing Copenhagen instead. But he did explain how to go about searching the many, many, many books. ,,,and we did for about three hours and then the dust was getting to us and we decided to just enjoy Copenhagen instead.
@joi Thanks for the support, but I don't think it going to happen. We would need to be here for a month or so. How ever it was very interesting to go through the church books, and my husband was a dream in supporting my in my quest. The guy at the Landsarknet did give me a website address, where I could continue looking, So I will do that.
@jendee3 yes we can and we have and I have thought about my grandmother the whole time. Wondering if I am walking a path that she had walked. That there is pretty cool.
