When I was stationed at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida, I worked with a guy named Jake. Across the road from where we worked on base was Tampa bay and a little beach. Jake would go over there and feed the pelicans. He loved them. One day he befriended one and named it Fred. Everyday Jake would visit Fred and feed him. To this day, when ever I see a Pelican I want to call it Fred.
