This is a first attempt at being inspired by a work of art (here is the painting that my friend painted which I was recreating from memory: https://365project.org/francoise/other/2021-12-24 ). It may end up being the best attempt.

Because I don't know who the artist is so therefore can't compare this with the artist's work, I can't say that it is a good inspiration by that artist. What I can say, this is an interesting look at what appears to be a handwritten book and a good cup of coffee.
@northy well, now that I'm looking at the original, I'm seeing a much more interesting picture! I may try again, but comparing what I did and what the painting actually looks like makes me see the painting (which hangs by my bed) in a completely different light. Fascinating.
