This is actually two shots of the same two deer running away from me (shooting their picture from car window). My get-pushed partner challenged me to capture motion and, after an unsuccessful week trying to do panning shots of the dogs (some semi-interesting abstract results ensued) and motion blur (with an in-focus background), I finally allowed for faster shutter speeds and focused on capturing animals or people in mid-motion. Partly I just wanted to get back inside where the temperatures were fit for humans.
@cgoose Here's a second capture motion attempt. I think their outstreched necks actually say more than the legs about their motion. As a result of your challenge I now hanve hundreds of pictures of Lucy (dog) in living room way up in the air -- some blurry, some stop-motion. I didn't pick one of them because the backgrounds in the livingroom do not show off the dog in the air. But they sure were fun. Do you find it hard to pick a finalist when you've got a project?
