for get pushed challenge. My expression might give away my enthusiasm for the project but I gave it a shot (actually many many many shots, of which this one was somewhat passable). Not complaining! It was certainly a learning experience.
Well done Francoise. I had high key for my GP too and it's a little confusing what it really is. One thing I read was that shadows should be brighter than 50% but the shot should not be overexposed. That then made me question my shots.
@zoupinette I think the basic concept is that the picture has a majority of tones in the bright ranges (so the value hisotgram is clearly centerd over to the right side). That being said, there seems to be a fair amount of variety in definitions, some allowing for small amounts of very dark tones, others not...Personally I think the shot above would qualify as "overexposed" but at some point that definition becomes subjective too.
Thank you for your explanation. I have learnt something. there are so many things I should try to play with, but so far the timing between time and desire has not happened.
I like it! I've never been able to distinguish the fine line between high key and overexposed so have simply gone with what looks 'right' to me. Yours does...
