Pond at sunset

For get -pushed challenge from Alex @notperfectbutmine to do "a black and white photo with selective colour in it" This is a picture from Wednesday evening that I took specifically because of the orange light I was seeing in different places in the scene. I have removed all but that color ... the photo looked very garish with just the orange, so I toned down that color by desaturating until I thought it looked ok.
Not really sure how I feel about this picture, partly I think because it feels different from what I usually do.
@notperfectbutmine Here is a response to your challenge -- not what I had in mind as "selective color", but I think it might be.

Works well - it has a 'secret escape'/timeless feel about it, works particularly well on the B&W background

Francoise, I really love this! It looks as though you've added "texture" to the photo (which is what I've been enjoying doing lately). To me it looks mellow and charming...a quiet place for reflective meditation... marvelous!

I like this a lot. If it feels different from what you usually do, then the get pushed thing is working I suppose!

It is definitely different, but you've done it so well! There's a bit of mystery in it, like we're peeking in on something.
