At the very top, on the 36th floor, in a position of honor I suppose, I found the offices and lounges of the Honors College. An old lady was asking a student who was heading for the private sanctums beyond the stained glass, "How can you study up here? I would be looking constantly at the view and worrying about falling out."
I have learned that the hardest thing about windows is having them lined up properly in the frame.
Still from Pittsburgh trip.
It's a beautiful window -- lovely design. Was there a reason for cropping off the bottom portion of the stained glass? I'm assuming you couldn't have backed up further...
It's a nice window but it seems rather odd to find stained glass windows in a tower block... mind you, anything that takes the edge off relentless modernity can't be all bad!
@vignouse Not sure when modernity started, but the Cathedral of Learning was built in 1926 and is in "gothic revival" style. It's actually 42 stories tall, I found out, but the elevators' last stop was 36. It's fondly called Hogwarts by the locals. I may have a nice shot of the lobby and one of the building itself (more doubtful), but will have to go back through my pictures to see.
