Here is Joe collapsed on the couch after work. Yes, it was Sunday. Yes, he was working. They've been requiring them to come in seven days a week this month, which just seems WRONG to me. An extra Saturday here and there to get caught up is inconvenient but acceptable. Every Saturday and every Sunday is just wrong. The next two weekends we will be gone on our trip to the ocean, so Joe will mercifully be exempt from the 7-day week for a while.
Spent all day working myself, getting ready for the meeting on Tuesday. I must have the fall course completely written and organized by then. I'm just hoping that my colleagues will graciously accept life as I am laying it out for them even though it means big changes in the way they do business. I've been working on selling the changes for months now and have been corresponding by email with the other full-time person. But it's change, so...
Not quite finished with July writing project; five to go. Whatever is finished before we go to the ocean, is finished. Other days will get fillers (or nature pictures from the many that I actually took during that time period).
Poor Joe, I think that's unacceptable - everyone needs time off! As you say, the odd weekend day is a pain but you can live with it, but 7 day weeks for a month is unfair!
Jeff has been putting in long days too but being that he has his own business, he can afford to take Sunday off without upsetting the boss. Enjoy your trip- sounds like you can both use it!
Nice capture.
