I don’t foresee any forest outings today. Today it’s clean, arrange, empty out cabinets and drawers, launder, pickle, cook. A month of illness has ended. This should call for rejoicing and outings! But instead, the demands of a neglected household are clamoring for attention, filling Miss F.’s mind with missions and despair at the enormity of the tasks. I climbed up on a little stand in the kitchen. You might think I was at an Ekka type fair surveying and judging award-desiring produce, but no, this is a fraction of the produce that Joe brought in this morning. Miss F. is a bit overwhelmed and whiney about it, but I don’t really believe her. If she didn’t want to deal with it, she wouldn’t have planted and tended so faithfully. I guess I just have to be patient with her.
I am so sorry to hear that miss Avenue has been sick for a whole month. I'm not sure how I missed that. I can only imagine how overwhelming the thought of catching up must to be. I am thrilled she is taking the time to post these beautiful pictures of you though. Sometimes a little bit of play can ease the stress.
