Mr. Pig's August 16 by francoise

Mr. Pig's August 16

I asked Miss F. to teach me the dice game she’s been playing incessantly. She said, “you really don’t want to learn.” I told her I HAD to know what was catching her attention so completely. Ok, I get it now. She was maybe right in trying to shelter me. Here I am contemplating what moves I could make and simultaneously dreading that she is going to take my toy off to work with her. I will be deprived of the pleasure of rolling dice, hoping to get lucky combinations, playing “just one more game.” Tomorrow I’m going to go to the office with her. I plan to play while she’s doing other stuff. And if she’s on the computer, why, I'll just play along with her.
Need to be careful about starting games or puzzles that become addictive! Take heed of the advice given by Miss F.

You look quite involved and intent with this game. Don't let it keep you so absorbed that you avoid interaction with living beings!

just don't you get in my way while you're too absorbed with your game; or your device might end up like the woman this morning when i accidentally 'elbowed' her as she ploughed into me whilst playing the bejeweled game. her device went down on the escalator way ahead of her and ended up in pieces and she called some very endearing names. i told her buy another one. :-)

Miss Ann will not start any of those games because she knows she would never stop. We just shake our heads as she does jigsaw puzzles on her kindle fire all the time! Looks like you're pretty good at this game Mr. Pig! H & HJ
