This time had an actual look I was seeking: grungy
Last attempt at get-pushed challenge from David "to stage a photograph indoors using a group of objects that wouldn't normally be found together? You are the director, you find the objects and put them where you want them to be. You get the look that you want, then you photograph it."
@yrhenwr Ok, here's the last one ... and perhaps the most deliberate. Makes me realize that I'm a somewhat random photographer. I generally try different things and then see what kind of result I get! It was really quite different to try for a look. (don't think too hard what this shot might reveal about me or my housekeeping skills)
Francoise, the restricted colour palette is really interesting feature of these shots and is very evident here. No. 1 made an immediate impact on me.. the rest I liked more as I dwelt on them and none more so than this one. (So much so that its a fav!) I like the olive green and the brown hues very much. I didn't know what to make of the cocktail stick at first, but that too has grown on me. It offers contrasting texture and colour and is almost like a slash across the image.. it demands my attention. I'm impressed that you have put so much effort into this challenge .... you put me to shame, I only had the one idea and I almost gave up because of a lack of inspiration. I didn't because it would be like letting you down. I'm glad I persevered, I got a lot out of the process. Like me, you usually respond to what's in front of you and I'm glad that we have both learned something from trying to create an idea instead. I can see I will have to follow you now!
