Ruins in the "Park of the aqueducts" of Rome...
I have taken this picture on the way back from work this afternoon... I should stop for a walk one of these days!
@frappa77 "The Pines of Rome." Respighi wrote the wonderful four movement orchestral suite. The first movement of course is for the pines of the Villa Borghese, I know not exactly here, but... All movements very Italian, very wonderful, emblematic of the pine tree in Roman and Italian life in general.

Dear Stephanie,
many times I wondered why I couldn't see your pictures between those posted by my friends.
Every day I searched for them, curious to see your masterpieces!
I realized only few days ago that I had this problem because I wasn't between your followers, as I was sure to be!
I added you immidiately, shaming a bit for this gaffe...
Thank you a lot! It has started as a cold and rainy day, but soon after the grey clouds were replaced with these white and fluffy clouds by the wind and the sun came out!
The ruins are the remains of "Villa of vineyards", one of the largest villas in the southern suburbs of ancient Rome. The trees should be pines... ;)

I'm not sure to have heard this tone poem before... I'm too curious and can't wait till tomorrow to listen to it!
