This morning, we walked from Dalham village up to the church on the hill through the avenue of trees with our "London" grandchildren. This is the view across the fields from outside the church. Sadly, the church was locked as they had had a spate of thefts in recent times. Next door is a large country house. At one time it was the home of the Bishop of Ely, and Ely Cathedral could be seen from the top storey of the house which was destroyed in a fire. The walk we did was about 1 mile total. 2 red kites (birds) seen on the walk. These were re-introduced some years ago and are doing well locally.
