Pied flycatcher?

Our young grandson found this youngster in the road. He put it back as close to the nest as he could get. I hope mum soon found it. Sorry the image is small.

Gorgeous photo. It's unlikely to be a pied flycatcher so early. They're still arriving here.

Sue, you are probably right. Kent and time of year for breeding make it unlikely. Unfortunately it was hard to ID a young fledgling from the few photos I saw.
