This very old picture shows the village of Inner Hope in South Devon. I can trace my family history continuously back to the mid 1500s in this village. Our family was probably there 1000s of years ago. No, I did not take this photo! Nearby is an Iron Age hill fort. It is quite possible one of my distant ancestors manned this thousands of years ago.
