This weekend is the Great British Garden Birdwatch organised by the RSPB. The idea is to count the maximum number of each species in any given hour. I have done this for years and in some years just 2 species were seen, whereas in better years I have seen maybe 12. Great fun.This is a fir cone with fat,suet and seeds.
