This cottage has been modernised but the datestone showed 1758. The pub on the High Street in Rishton dates to 1753. We strolled through Tottleworth village enjoying the peaceful countryside, and then walked home by way of the canal path, glad to see the swan family nibbling at the duck weed under the High Street bridge.
