An interesting looking place, is that building derelict? Looks as though it may have been a factory of some kind, perhaps utilising the water coming over the weir?
@judithdeacon@maggiemae Continental Eagle was a cotton gin manufacturing facility that was built in the 1830s and utilized the creek for part of that production. It was operating until 2010 when when it was phased out. The building is derelict today but there are potential plans to convert it into apartment or shops at some future date.
@cjphoto Thanks Chris. I liked being able to get both water sources in the same shot. @dishaparekh176 I had something different in mind when I started so I am glad you like this result. Thanks so ,uch. @daisyditch How very nice of you! thanks Bunches Daisy. @marilyn Ill be watching.;~}
Fascinating shot! I love the old mill and the juxtaposition of the fountain and the falls. It reminds we a little of the riverfront in Columbus, GA near Fort Benning.
@eudora Thanks Diane. I have never seen that but it must be lovely too. @dyanstevens It is nothing fancy but it draws a lot of people for photos especially. @ruthmouch I appreciate your praise so much. That is the old cottongin mill. They made cotton gins there until 2010 @kwiksilver It is in the same area but not the same building. The other one is to the right in this photo.
