Oh chooky chookie! This eye of the hen gives an idea of the alertness of the hens - and perhaps also, the lack of forward thinking! Do I look like this at times?
that rooster looks filipino. looks exactly like the neighbour's back in manila, the one who crowed every time i would sing and in the early hours of the morning! :-P
@linnypinny thanks so much, Lin @lynnz I appreciate that, Lynn @olivetreeann SHE is alright I guess! @365karly1 how nice of you to say. @Dawn thanks for that Dawn @maggiemae thanks MM. LOL! Having never seen you before I can't be certain but I could easily imagine that you MIGHT have this expression on occasion. @nicolecampbell my husband has 12 at his store which is a bit out of town so we don't have the mess or noise at our house. @henrir LOL! I offered her extra feed? Seriously, I was trying to get her in mid cluck as she was in the coop and I had her exit blocked. As you can tell I failed. @eudora thanks so much Diane. I got lucky. @summerfield hen, not rooster, but I think I did hear her clucking in Tagalog ! @marilyn
such a fine looking bird :) My daughter just started raising some hens - they had 5 but one of the kids didn't close the coop well and was visited by some raccoons - 3 left now
@lynnz I appreciate that, Lynn

@myhrhelper thanks Kathy. We started out with 15 and are down to 12 but that is still plenty of eggs for us.
