Oddly Peculiar

I though this might make an intriguing photo for me on a day when I had nothing else to offer. Today is that day. Anyone care to guess what it is?

I guessed rose branch, but when I read others' guess, I think they are right and it's a tomato vine. It makes a nice, simple design.
