On the final day on the One Week Only challenge, when the prompt is Up, a cloud filled sky would have been a perfect subject to shoot but that was not to be! Instead I give you the rose in my backyard that has filled out in all its glory from a very low perspective. It will just have to do for the day.
The negative space is a stunning complement to the intense colors. And the near translucency of the petals make a nice transition from the weighty opaqueness of the leaves to the negative space. Winner!
Well done! Ditto what others have said. The petals with light filtering through them are lovely. Nice take on something usually photographed from the other side.
