I took a pic of a bird that was stressed out from this ridiculous heat wave we are having in Texas. The poor birds go around with their mouths open gasping for air.. I edited this in Picnik. I will post the SOOC in my Extras album.

@pamfromcalgary Thanks, Pam! We need rain through this area so badly. The ponds are drying up and the animals are having a hard time finding water. It breaks my heart to see the horses in such stressed conditions. This is the worst I have seen it since I have lived in Texas.
This is stunning & I like the way you have portrayed the extreme heat ! Poor birds & they will be struggling for water , I expect any you put out for them soon evaporates!!
I keep hearing how Texas is just baking ~ and other areas have to worry about flooding ~ just doesn't seem right! Great picture and processing ~ hope you see some precipitation soon . . .
