There are four baby Cardinals still hanging around at my work. These two were being cared for by the male Cardinal and another two by the female. The ones the female is caring for do not have as much red on them as the one in front of the pic does. That leads me to believe that this one is a male, as they have more red on them. The 105 - 110+ degree heat is really stressing them out. We have put a pan with water out for them and a co-worker put some birdseed out. The Mocking birds are being very mean to these babies.
One of these babies was in full shade, the other in partial, but there is a tree over all of this that provides a bit more shade.

@5unflow3r Thanks! He is so heat stressed that the feathers on top of his head are lying down instead of standing up like a Cardinal. I have been so worried about this Cardinal family. I thought they were gone, but found out that they are hanging around in the Crepe Myrtle trees.
@sitiodown My boss is on vacation, but it water was magically in the dish when I got to work this morning! I think he comes by to make sure they have water. I did not see them today, but heard them.
just try to keep the water available every day until that heat breaks!
