Ypres Cloth Hall by harvey

Ypres Cloth Hall

This is the gorgeous cloth hall in Ypres, Belgium, which was one of the largest commercial buildings of the middle ages built in the 1200's. The most amazing thing about this building is how it looked in 1918 (see this webpage, 4th picture down http://www.flandersfieldsmusic.com/ww1-photos.html).

The lighting was fantastic, I just took eight shots at 17mm and merged them with photoshop, using a little layers and levels action, no RAW needed.
WOW! This is stunning! Awesome... a definite fav!

It's amazing how well they restored it. We don't really know what it's like to rebuild something like that here, do we? If it falls apart or is in ruins, we just level it and put something else in its place. Crazy!
