This whole area used to be a large plant nursery but it was closed and abandoned many years ago. Now there is an apartment complex built here but these old buildings are still standing.
This is the first image from the Fujifilm X-T2 where I actually like the colours. I have been struggling with getting "realistic" greens and was about to give up on the camera all together (I actually have it up for sale already!).
But then yesterday I did a complete reset of the camera and noticed that the colour output had changed. I have no idea what has changed because I've been though every menu item that has to do with colour and colour temperature and tried to fix the problem but without any luck.
Anyway, today I took this shot on my way back from the grocery store. I tried some of the different Adobe colour profiles. The sandard seemed to work best. Then I tried som of the Fujifilm profiles, but I was not impressed with the results at all: too heavy handed and garish for my taste.
Then I tried "Classic Chrome" and Wow! I just love the colour palette and tones here. Now I just need to see how this works on other types of images. Maybe the Fujifilm X-T2 will stay for a while after all... :-)
I wish I knew how to fiddle with my colours as there is too much yellow for my liking. I change it in post processing which is maybe also not the best.
