Supervising

Today a couple of men cleared away the limbs from our roof and our yard. Chloe supervised from indoors. I promise my project won't be all about the cats. Starting Tuesday my vacation is over and I'll actually leave the house again. Right now, I'm enjoying the solitude.

Definitely looks better in large view. The black background shows what I see on my computer. (Click the magnifying glass above the photo for large view)
why is it that a cat always looks so stately
cute

it is gorgeous on black. I don't mind more cats, not enough if you ask me.

@glendq You just don't see the cat when she forgets how to put on the brakes and runs straight on into the wall, or when she's trying to perch on the top of the chair and lands in a mortified heap on the floor. Those are the moments when I don't have the camera handy.

@cookie123 Thank you, Bernadette. If I could rotate between the cats, Cookie, and Carole's Daisy, this project would be animal planet :)

I really don't have many shots of Daisy if you look at my monthly calendar thumbprints. Mainly because I have difficulty capturing animal's expressions & struggle to attain that special composition. Once in a while I get lucky, but I really need to work on portrait shots and that includes people as well as animals. Anyway, you have captured this one of Chloe beautifully. I love her stance, the shadows, the expression and it definitely tells a story. Actually my photography preferences are landscapes, flowers, trees, sun, rain, snow, some abstracts, pretty home collections, animals, artsy images---- and I am not a big fan of rust, screws or mundane macros. LOL, but that's just me. We all have our own photography preferences and you need to remember: this is your project for photographing what you enjoy and NEVER apologize for anything you post or worry it isn't good enough. I'm preaching again, forgive me :-) Hugs. BTW, I am faving this one.

@cimes1 Wow, thanks for the fav, Carole! Thanks also for the talk. Thinking on it, I'm pretty sure I was mostly promising myself. I want to st-r-e-t-ch myself. Oh, and the part about Daisy & Cookie? You don't take that many photos of Daisy, but I would love to. From the photos you have taken, she looks to have so much personality :)
