Gail & I went to —"Tunes of the 20s and all that Jazz" — a presentation at Historic Friendship Church in Buena, NJ. Dr. Robert Rawlins - Professor of Music Theory at Rowan University - talked and played music from that era. He is playing a Soprano Sax from that era.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
Sounds like a fun concert- very entertaining. The son of some good friends of ours went to Rowan and was a very talented saxophone player- I wonder if he had this gentleman as a teacher. It's been a long time since he was a student there though. Nice shot.
