@jconner Instagram is nice because you apply the effects after the photo is taken and can go through all of them to see what looks best. Hipstamatic, therefore, can be a challenge because you choose the "lens" and "film" before taking a photo, so you might end up with results you do not like. It took me a long time to really embrace Hipstamatic, but I am becoming more comfortable with it. Also, with Instagram you can edit a photo you have previously taken with the basic Camera, and turn into into a Instagram photo. You cannot do this with Hipstamatic. Hipstamatic file sizes are bigger and EXIF data is retained, whereas Instagram are smaller file sizes with no EXIF (so no date is saved, which can suck). There's positive and negatives to both.
