Well, at least that's the last place I saw my 18-200mm's lens hood - the Salish Sea. It disappeared between there and Walla Walla, WA. RIP... makes me kinda sad, that lens hood saw a lot of action.
Alas, I had to order a new one. I even sprung for brand name, because it was only $1 more.

@kerristephens Very true! What is so puzzling about all this is the lens hood was on lens when I put my camera in the back seat after exploring around the beach. Day later, and lens hood is nowhere to be found and I didn't touch the camera! Just plays with your mind a bit, haha. I have a photo of my camera on the beach, and the lens hood was there... ARGH, mysteries! I hate them!
