"Looking for Shore" (or "The Pink Squiggle")

When it rains, water builds up in ground and the worms come up for air...and then often wander out into the street, where bad things can happen like getting squished or drowning in a puddle. When my children were younger, we used to take walks in the rain "rescuing" the worms, usually bringing them home for our garden. Today, the best I could do was move this one out of the puddle and onto higher ground.

looks like a big worm, nice to know they were rescued and put in the garden, the garden can never have too many worms :)
