I don't have the lens for bird photography, but somehow I cannot resist trying all the same. This was taken with my little point-and-shoot at Pt. Pelee National Park, along the western beach overlooking Lake Erie. There were dozens of kingbirds all over the park, but this one kept walking out to the edge of the water and looking wistfully over the lake. Perhaps he was considering moving on--the next leg of his journey up north. (There was also a tiny yellow warbler that walked out to bathe and drink in the lake, which I had never seen before.)
