Owl Dark

My first attempt at Low Key with the camera. (I still had to adjust it a little.) It's harder than I though without studio lights.

Well done, Kathryn. I think you can use any source of light in b&w as you can't see the tone of light. And even an ordinary kitchen lamp will be OK. And for the high key shots I made a simple light box. The schemes for them you can find in the net.

@anden That's a good idea. It would be good project for winter, maybe...when it would be nice to have more light.

Low Key is very difficult unless you can control the light and highlights yourself. Almost essential to have off camera focused lighting at a significantly different angle from the camera.. Nice attempt though. Good luck with it. Keep at it.
