Sand vs green

We visited the dunes of Lake Michigan this weekend (for our friends' wedding) and walked along the sand for a while. Dunes are a giant hill of sands, and they interact with the plants in a constant dance of growth and erosion.

@jackies365 We live east side now, too...but I grew up in Kalamazoo and so spent many a summer day on the dunes. I miss it, too.
