Haunted by the memory of a lost paradise

This was the first time I went for streetphotography. It was exiting, but also very exhausting. I was worn out when I came home. Being in city centre with my camera taking shots, trying to keep the cool and not run of frightened so badly as to cause the spasming of one's sphincter muscles was very hard. I do this on holiday all the time, but I just can't feel myself a tourist in my own city. And my city was voted sixth in the lonely planet guide of city's where no tourists come.
I'm not good at this yet, here the man is out of focus instead of the background, something that often happens with the new lens and the camera on autofocus, I don't know why. :( But I like the gloomy feeling of the picture, so I posted it anyway.
Great pic.The man out out of focus adds to the shot and the backgrouind in focus pulls my eye into the picture. This is a fav for me.

I like this very much. Nice composition, taken at exactly the right moment, and the distant figure walking in the opposite direction is a bonus..

I like the out of focus man; it gives him movement across the photo. Makes him not the main subject. I like your commentary about the sphincter muscle. It does indeed seem that way sometimes in my own attempts.
