Walking to the river in a winter wonderland. This is part of a route through open farmlands called clog-routes. It ends at the meandering river Kromme Rijn, that eventually flows from the river Rhine. This was the border of civilized Roman territory, we being the barbarians of the north. This building is an old estate, that now functions as a service home for the elderly.
