Where's the books? by inthecloud5

Where's the books?

I heard something on the radio the other day about libraries and it reminded me to go to the Central Library in Liverpool to take a photo. This was Britain's first purpose built public lending library and was refurbished recently, the new entrance and atrium bear no resemblance at all to the original library which was very dark and musty. The new design is very interesting with natural light flooding into the building. Standing on the ground floor, looking up into the atrium, the other floors have glass balconies that reflect the artificial and natural light and a web of stairways cross the line of vision. Really needed a wider angle lens to get more of the circular design in and go right to the top to look down as well.

I didn't have much time today so will go and take some photos of the older part of the library where the books are next time!
